I left 6th form in 1984. I trained as a nurse in 1985 & qualified in 1988. I have worked in different specialties but have worked as a specialist nurse for many years now. I am currently a Nurse Endoscopist at North tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. I have also had a parallel career in the Army reserve from 1990 to 2009. I was commissioned as a Lieutenant in 1991 as a Nursing officer with 201 Field Hospital (V) and retired as a Major in 2009. I enjoyed my time and served in Iraq in 2003 & Afghanistan in 2007.
